MONTANARO Angelo – Clarinetist
He is originates from the Souther Italian town of Martina Franca and currently resides in Valladolid, Spain; he studied at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva with Thomas Fridlie, RomainGuyot and Michel Westphal. Angelo has a busy and varied freelance carreer, combining orchestral and chamber music playing. He performs with a grat variety of orchestras, including the Malher Chamber Orchestra, the RoyalLiverpool Philarmonic, the National orchestre of France, The Chamber Orchestra of Europe and many others.
Ha works with conductors suc as Claudio Abbado, Zubin Metha, Charles Dutoit, Frans Bruggen, Antonio Pappano, Herbert Blomstedt, Valery Gergiev, Gianandrea, Noseda, Fabio Luisi, Manfred Honeck, Daniel Harding and yannick Nezet-Seguin.
He as performed as a solist with the Kwazulu-Nation Orchestra (Durban), the orchestra Haydn di Trento e Bolzano, the Filamonica di Torino, Tibor Varga Festival Orchestra…
In addition to his performance work he also gives masterclasses in Italy, Spain, Switzerland and South Africa.
Since 2016, he is Chamber Music Professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Castilla y Leon in Salamanca.
